Xponential a great success for UAV Protect
Jamie Webb and James Gadbury were in New Orleans last week for AUVSI’s Xponential conference. This is the second successive year UAV Protect have attended the conference and the conference again proved to be the biggest UAV industry event in the world, with thousands of exhibitors and attendees.
The exhibitor floor was filled with market leading manufacturers, software developers and data mappers and the keynote speakers were equally impressive: with Gur Kimchi, co-found and Vice President of Amazon Prime Air, John T. Chambers, executive chairman and former CEO of Cisco Systems; General David G. Perkins, commander of the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command; and Michael P. Huerta, administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration keynote speakers at this year’s event.
UAV Protect were delighted to be joined by Matt Britton from All Risks Ltd. UAV Protect are partnered with All Risks, who are underwriting the UAV product in the US on behalf of underwriters at Lloyd’s of London. UAV Protect and All Risks held booth 1172 and were inundated with visitors, all coming to discuss their insurance requirements. A lot of the talk at the show was of the upcoming Part 107 regulation – the small UAS rule for UAS under 55lbs, which looks almost certain to be in play by the end of the summer.
There are a number of exciting partnerships UAV Protect are looking to move forward with following on from the conference and we are excited at the role we can play in insurance to help this burgeoning industry continue to grow.
